Book Review:Stack&Tilt

Interestingly enough, the golf world has been playing a big game of telephone over the past few years, and I want to tell you about it. But before we get into the nitty gritty details, we need to first get a better idea of how the system came about, and who created it. They are systematic, and bring some depth to their instruction. The first thing you need to understand about Stack and Tilt are the three fundamentals underlying the entire system. Unlike most golf instruction that focuses on grip, stance, alignment, and posture, Andy and Mike take a slightly different approach. They claim that the three fundamentals of golf are as follows:.

Note that Stuart Appleby's left shoulder is slightly down-tilted in the above photo, so that most of his body weight is over the left leg at the end-backswing position image 4. What we found were two soft-spoken, bright men with what they say is a measuring system that every player fits into. Note how he shifts his pelvis left-laterally during the late backswing between images 3 and 4and that the shoulder turn angle is not perfectly level to the ground.

Plummer: Because you can't turn in flexion? One reason why recreational golfers find scoring to be so difficult is because they lack consistency with their swing. There is nothing reverse about that. However I wont dish it straight away I will continue to look into it as I am intriuged?

Or would you try other products first. Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett, famed swing instructors, have spent nearly 20 years of their lives developing the Stack and Tilt Swing Method. And, since the DVD instruction tool was first introduced in , it has drawn some rave reviews from amateurs and pros alike…so we thought we would put it to the test and see if it is really worth the investment. And how can it help YOU become a better golfer? Dominate your competition and start playing like a Pro with the 1 Swing on tour! But people continued to talk about this method everywhere I went — at the course, in the magazines, and even on the PGA Tour. And the more Stack and Tilt continued to make headlines, the more I knew it deserved a closer look.

Look like anyone you know. The golfer must view the ball out of the bottoms of his eyes, unnatural back and shoulder positions restrict range of motion, because there is no spring in the knees or forward thrust anf the hips. To us it means shifting to the front foot on the backswing and then to the backfoot on the downswing. The lower body provides little leverage or power at impact.

Also, note that the left pelvis is now a few inches stacj than the right pelvis. Dylan Armes rated it really liked it Apr 20, has the standard in-to-square-to-in clubhead path through the impact zone - because he is keeping his clubshaft on-plane throughout the downswing and followthrough. Kevin Na, Copying his set up transformed my swing over a weekend at the range and on the course.

  1. My main interest in writing the review paper was related to a chance-event - the fact that I arbitrarily used Aaron Baddeley as a role model for the traditional golf swing when I first started my golf website in December When I started my golf instructional website, I looked about for a golf swing video where the professional golfer had a simple, but traditional, swing. I also wanted a good quality swing video, so that I could produce capture images for my website's basic chapters on the modern, total body golf swing. I found a good quality swing video of Aaron Baddeley's swing at the V1 Home website, and I therefore decided to use Aaron Baddeley as my role model. 👩‍⚖️
