One solution is to use an art form that is not usually associated with such things. In this case, I speak of the comic book, or as it is more usually known these days, the graphic novel. Charles Vess, an extremely talented graphic artist, has done just that.
It is studded with examples of the stories and the music and musicians who have brought this all to life. He brings out the passion, pages, and more with his unequalled linework. Paperback. Vess is always amazing and the book is worth looking through for the artwork alone.
