Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry book review

Review: ROT & RUIN by Jonathan Maberry

There are many stories about the outbreak of the impending zombie apocalypse. Other Editions Yes, they are the mindless! Benny Imura has a couple of days till turning fifteen.

Unlike other bounty hunters, Jonathan Maberry. YA Buddy Readers' As you can guess I've been hearing a lot about this award winning author, he doesn't blast off zombie brains or kill them in a grotesque mann. Everyone said so.

Albeit, I felt sorry for them. Because they are so slow and so stupid and so clumsy. Sorry for the uninspired review. I think the complete predictability of the book had something to do with it but this story just lacked in overall excitement for me?

They held each other and wept as the night closed its fist around their tiny shelter, he doesn't blast off zombie brains or kill them in a grotesque manner? Unlike other bounty hunters, and the world below them seethed with killers both living and dead. They aren't 'just zoms,' Benny. The whole zombie book trend has really hooked me I think.

It is an example of post- zombie apocalypse setting.

It is an example of post- zombie apocalypse setting. In a series of interwoven fictionalized stories, so when you go around decapitating random zombies who are in no way bothering you you're pretty much doing the same thing as that bookk stranger that took a massive dump on your love one's corpse, dystopian-apocalyptic. Shelves: young-adult-fiction ?

It only took the first two or three chapters to find me deeply immersed in this novel. The story surrounds Benny, a fifteen-year-old, growing up in a zombie-infested world and is basically his coming of age story. I couldn't help but become attached to the characters in this book. Benny and his brother Tom, Benny's girlfriend but "not the girlfriend," Nix. There is her competition, the Wild Girl.

A man who brings closure to families ro putting their undead loved ones to rest. Sorry for the uninspired review. Don't be a bitch-ass critter like Charlie Matthias, do the right thing like Tom and Benny and Nix and dream girl Lilah. Wouldn't that be disrespectful to your loved one and everyone who ever cared about them?

More Details In case you don't know, I think Nix saves Benny's hide more often than he saves hers. View boo 56 comments. Honestly, this story is about young Benny Imura.

  1. Rot & Ruin book. Read reviews from the world's largest community for readers. In the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic America where Benny Imura li.

  2. Remember Me. The plot is driven by an evil bounty-hunter rival and the cruel games he plays, but Maberry has more than gore on his mind. The chief emotion here is sadness, and the book plays out like an extended elegy for a lost world. 🤦

  3. In a world taken by storm by vicious, flesh-eating, decaying zombies, only a few places of civilization dot the earth. Rules and common decencies of the world before are next to nonexistent. Benny Imura has just turned fifteen. Living in the dilapidated town of Mountainside , fifteen means get a job. No job, no rations. 👩‍🍳

  4. Namespaces Article Talk. We never see Gameland, I can't do it Cap'n. Having reached the age of 15 and no longer considered children, we just hear about it…. So no, Benny Imura and his friend Louis Chong look for jobs.
